BENGKULU – Students of the 2023 batch of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Bengkulu, successfully organized an Entrepreneurship Bazaar as the final project for their entrepreneurship course on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the PGSD campus of the University of Bengkulu. The event received high enthusiasm from visitors, with all products sold out within just two hours.

The Entrepreneurship Bazaar conducted by sixth-semester students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Bengkulu, was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the courtyard of the PGSD campus, University of Bengkulu.

The event involved four classes from the 2023 batch, with each class consisting of approximately 12 groups made up of 3–4 students. The bazaar took place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and featured various food, beverage, and creative products made by the students.

The bazaar received high enthusiasm from many visitors because the event was open to the public. Most visitors came from junior students of PGSD UNIB, especially the 2024 and 2025 batches, while some buyers also came from the general public. Several lecturers also visited the bazaar and bought products from the student groups. Due to the large number of visitors, several stands sold out their products in less than two hours.

This event was held as the final project for the entrepreneurship course taken by all sixth-semester students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, University of Bengkulu. Before Bazzar, the students work on their business projects independently through social media promotion, open pre-orders for around 1-2 months.

Mrs. Dr. Dwi Anggraini, S.Sn, M.Pd as the lecturer of the entrepreneurship course, stated that “The bazaar was held as the culmination of the KWU course to provide an opportunity to expand networks and showcase KWU products beyond traditional advertising. Through this bazaar, students are expected to develop skills in customer communication, operational management, and marketing and sales, ensuring that negotiations with customers proceed smoothly.” she said.

One of the participants, Nabila Ensa from Group 9 of Class 6D, together with her two teammates, created a beverage product called Alovita Hydroboost, an aloe vera drink known for its refreshing taste and health benefits. Their product successfully attracted many buyers both before and during the bazaar.

According to Nabila, this was not the first entrepreneurship bazaar held by PGSD students because the entrepreneurship course has been a compulsory subject for many years. However, she stated that there were still several challenges during the event.

“There were some challenges for us, such as the venue being less supportive because it was located in front of students’ classrooms and was quite narrow. There was also no direct opening from the lecturers when the event started, so not all groups began selling at the same time and some groups were left behind,” she said.

This event also holds great promise. Mrs. Dr. Dwi Anggraini, S.Sn, M., stated, “This is expected to become a valuable and unforgettable experience. The bazaar is hoped to motivate students’ business potential that may still be undeveloped, so that one day PGSD students can become successful entrepreneurs, especially in the field of education. Of course, cooperation and teamwork are highly expected. Through this entrepreneurship activity, students are expected not only to develop an entrepreneurial spirit, but also to gain important skills such as leadership, independence, opportunity-seeking, and risk management, at least for their own future lives.”

Overall, the entrepreneurship bazaar activity ran smoothly. This activity was not only a final assignment for the entrepreneurship course, but also provided real experience for students in selling products, working in teams, as well as developing creativity and communication skills. It is hoped that similar bazaar activities can continue to be held in the coming years with better preparation, so that the event can run more optimally and provide greater benefits, experiences, and knowledge for students, both in entrepreneurship and in personal development to face the future world of work.
